We partnered with Agent Q about a year ago and have used the chat bot platform to make some impressive tools on both our own website and for the sites of our clients. But now Agent Q has undergone a rebranding and is now Onward. And it's only gotten better.

The tech team at IGNITE Alliance have seen a lot of chat bots, or programs claiming to be artificial intelligence, over the years. Most of them have been pretty rubbish.  That's why Onward was a like a beacon of light amongst a torrential tide of bad bots.

With bold and accurate assessment of user intent, fantastic conversation flow, and machine learning the bot doesn't feel like you're talking to a computer. Moreover, it records conversations with users, and statements, questions, or phrases which are unfamiliar to the bot will be flagged so a person can help it learn the best response.

But where the bot really shines is having the ability to be an automated chat bot one second, going through its known of questions and answers, and letting a customer service rep take over the next. This seamless transition from bot to real person allows front-of-house staff to concentrate on other tasks, like closing deals, and when a potential opportunity, or a hairy question gets asked, the rep can jump in and save the day. 

 Onward is a customisatable chat bot


Besides the change in name, the move from being Agent Q to Onward has brought a load of new updates which have streamlined user interface, made adjusting the settings a little bit easier for our solutions engineers, and is now bursting at the seams with features. Their artificial intelligence department is also boasting being able to "achieve Automation40 without having to be a scientist". We're excited to see what Onward does into the future and are loving what they've done so far.

We use our chat bots primarily as first contact responders, going through a knowledge base we built which can answer questions, generate leads, and solve simple issues. We've done some nifty stuff with these same bots, as well. Take Grant, IGNITE Innovation's on-page chat bot who can check to see if you are eligible for a grant or not. Or Shed Bot, Real Aussie Shed's website-wide bot who can determine what shed would best suit you.
